Congenital Trigger Thumb it's called and my little girl has it on her left thumb...boo! We noticed it after she took quite a fall off of our couch. We though that it was just dislocated but sure enough it's not. They straightened it out, took x-rays, and an hour later it looked just as it had before the ER visit. It doesn't seem to bother her much but it's just stuck! We were sent to see a pediatric specialist - surgery is in our future (boo!!!) but they don't want to operate until she is at least 2, especially since it really doesn't bother her. It will be a simple surgery - about 10 minutes - but it's on her left hand...her sucking hand...in which the Dr. told me he would kindly put a cast from her shoulder down. My baby going under for surgery and then not able to soothe herself...ughh, mom's gonna be a mess. But here are some pictures of what it looks like:![]()

Christmas 2010
Christmas was wonderful this year. It's so true how bigger the kids make things - we just enjoyed our little family! Brayden loved every minute of it - however, the threat of Santa Claus did not work at all this year! He left food for the reindeer, along with sparkles to light their way. Kamryn didn't know what was going on, but fell along with all the excitement. Uncle Landon came home - which was awesome! My little boy just adores his Uncle and could not get enough of him. His favorite 'guys' lately to play with are the Army ones, and he got an outfit that looks an awful lot like an army guy - so he thinks whatever Uncle Landon is doing is sure cool. Christmas time sure is a lot of work and takes a lot of energy - but it is soooo worth it. We sure love our family and are so thankful to be so incredibly blessed! Thanks for a wonderful Christmas!
